Nicholas Koopalethes (Nick) is the Chief Executive Officer of Global Broadband Solutions (GBS), and one of the Company’s founders. GBS was formed in 1998, and since that time, Nick has served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. In June 2016, he was appointed CEO. Over the course of his career, Nick has gained unique experience in all aspects of global telecommunications management and engineering.
Nick is a Subject Matter Expert and Principal Advisor to Senior Managers, Chief Engineers, Project Managers, and Military Officers concerning the planning, design, financing, implementation, and operations of advanced terrestrial and submarine fiber optic cable systems, SMART (Science Monitoring and Reliable Telecommunication) cables, as well as GEO, MEO and LEO satellite systems.
Nick is a Life Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), and the Project Management Institute (PMI). Nick holds a BS Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. He has completed graduate level studies at Baruch College, School of Business and Public Administration, and is a graduate of the Public Affairs Institute.
Nick holds an FCC Amateur Radio License, loves hiking, and is an avid supporter of cancer research.
Peter Sillitto was a Co-Founder and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Global Broadband Solutions. Peter first served as Executive Vice President (EVP) at the formation of GBS in 1998. In 2016, following 18 years of leadership as EVP, Peter was appointed Chief Operating Officer, successfully working to expand and improve GBS Operations through January 2024.
Peter served for more than 40 years in various business areas including customer service, sales and marketing, commercial and government contract management, strategic and financial planning, and human resources, and had extensive experience in business operations and executive management.
Peter was a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). Peter holds a B.S. Management, Canisius College, Buffalo, NY, and an M.B.A. Executive Management, with Distinction, Pace University, Pleasantville, NY.
All who knew Peter, worked with him in business or in his personal life, came to know a consummate professional who genuinely cared for people.

Brad Yowell is the Senior Vice President of Operations and Administration, the Chief Technology Officer and Director of IT Policy, Cybersecurity and Policy Implementation. Brad has been with GBS since 2005, supporting numerous aspects of telecommunications management and engineering.
Under Brad‘s leadership of the GBS Subsea Division, GBS has expanded Wet Plant Administration to support cable systems operating in the Atlantic/Caribbean region and also in the Pacific. Brad’s responsibilities include developing new business opportunities and product development in the Subsea market.
Brad has more than 15 years of global management experience and expertise related to telecommunications pricing, infrastructure, engineering and project management as it relates to both terrestrial and submarine fiber cable systems.
Brad holds a BS in Finance from James Madison University and an MS in Information Systems Technology Management from The George Washington University. Brad is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA).
Bruce brings a dynamic range of architectural, engineering, and operational expertise to the GBS Leadership Team. Bruce is an industry-wide, recognized subject matter expert with extensive experience designing, engineering, building and managing major telecommunications and R&D projects.
Bruce’s current focus includes working closely with clients to develop specialized solutions for all facets of submarine and terrestrial fiber optic cable design, implementation, operations, and life-cycle sustainment.
While serving as COO of the Great Eastern Group, a GBS strategic business partner, Bruce led business units specializing in Marine Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Submarine Fiber Optic Cable and Alternative Energy Development projects.
Bruce is a FAA Commercially Licensed Small Unmanned Aircraft Pilot and is integrating drone video offerings into the GBS cable route engineering services and holds an USCG 100 Ton Boat Captain's license and FCC Amateur Ham Radio license.
Bruce is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA); Homeland Security Professionals; National Contract Management Association (NCMA); and the Professional Association of Diving Instructors Certified (erPADI).
Bruce’s community activity includes Chairman of the Catholic Charity Fund Appeal Diocese of Rhode Island; Past President of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge Barrington, RI; and WJAR NBC10 Home-Pro on air personality for Southern New England. His hobbies include Salt & Fresh water fly fishing, local and regional Amateur Trap shooting and golf.
